It’s definitely him. He regularly corresponds with Fry and other celebrities. It’s also worth noting that (with a few exceptions) the verification of celebrities on Twitter is very USA-centric. Even @wossy, with his half-a-million followers, still hasn’t been verified.

Interestingly however, Alan Davies’ Twitter account is not a ‘Verified Account’ by Twitter so begs the question whether it is actually him I suppose…? Heh
