I have to admit. The first thing i thought when I heard the news was “I wonder whats the report on Twitter is like at the moment”. I guess alot of other people was thinking the same thing.

We won't know exactly what happened until a full autopsy has been done, so can't rule anything out at the moment. The man was stick-thin, very frail and has been of ill-health for some time, but who knows what really triggered this? There were rumours of an overdose floating around for a couple of hours last night. We may never know, I guess - let the conspiracy theories begin. There's already been (an amusing) one on Wikipedia.
